Heart Health
Heart health is something that we handle in our office all the time. There is a chance that you may be like many and have what we call a tired heart. A tired heart is not getting enough nutrition so it has to work harder to keep going. All nutrition will go to the heart first. If nutrition is missing in the heart then it’s going to be missing elsewhere in the body.
At the Health and Wellness Center, we do a test called the Heart Sound Recorder. It’s a test that will show in four graphs the four valves of your heart. The Heart Sound Recorder listens to the valves of the heart opening and closing and then displays them in graphs. The graphs show us what nutrition you may be missing. For instance, the big one that we find a lot is a Vitamin B deficiency. Our bodies do not make Vitamin B, nor does the body store them.
These vitamins have to come from outside sources. Protein is a big provider of Vitamin Bs.
Below you will find a list of foods high in B Vitamins.
- Salmon
- Leafy greens
- Liver/Organ Meats
- Eggs
- Grass-fed beef
- Oysters/Clams/Mussels
- Legumes
- Poultry (Chicken/Turkey)
- Yogurt
- Pork
- Trout
- Sunflower Seeds
What you really want to look for are plant-based Vitamin B’s. We have a lot of people come into the office who are taking synthetic vitamin B. If you want to know if your Vitamin B is synthetic, look on the back of the bottle, you’ll have a list of the Vitamin B’s in their vitamins. If the word “as” is present or parentheses the Vitamin B is not plant-based. Those Vitamin B’s are made in a lab. They are nutraceuticals and they can make the Heart Sound Recorder graph look very irritated. A lot of times we just have to take the person off of those vitamins to improve how their heart sounds.
All vitamins that we use in our office are plant-based and natural. They’re not made in the lab. A couple of our Vitamin B’s that come up for a patient are Cataplex B core and Cataplex G. Cataplex B core are Vitamins B’s that strengthen and rev things up. And Cataplex G will also strengthen but relax things as well.
