Sugar
What’s a popular source of quick energy that’s as addictive as cocaine?
SUGAR
The Standard American Diet (S.A.D.) causes the body to become sugar/carb adapted. This means that your body relies on carbs/sugar as its main energy source. We ideally want it to be fat adapted. Part of our process here in the office is to get your body from being carb adapted to being fat adapted.
This can be difficult for a patient because it is so easy to quickly grab some sort of carb or sugar as fast energy.
As you begin to cut down carbs you may start feeling more hungry than you’re used to. This is because your meal may not have enough good fats in it. You must then increase your good fats.
What are some good fats?
